Is food service available?

Our Conference Center can provide full service catering for your event. We serve all of our meals up-scale buffet style. We do not allow any outside food or drink to be brought in or carried out of the facility. A 20% service fee and 7.5% sales tax applies to all catering. A 25% service fee and 7.5% sales tax applies to groups of 15 or less. For catering and room set-up purposes, your final guaranteed number of guests is due 10 business days prior to your event. We are happy to create a custom menu to suit your specific taste and needs. Just ask!

Is bar service available?

Bar service can be available for your special event. You may choose to do a cash bar, host bar or a combination of both. No alcoholic beverages may be carried into or out of our facility. As with our catering menu, we can special order a favorite beverage to suit your tastes. A 20% service fee applies to all host bar and special order items as well as a bartender fee of $50 per bartender – per 50 guests.

No more toting around or renting your A/V equipment! Rolling Hills is equipped with state of the art audio/visual equipment for you to use at no extra charge. All you need to bring is your presentation and your laptop!

Our Conference Center consists of a pre-conference area for food service and one large ballroom that can be divided into 2 smaller rooms. No other breakout rooms are available. We do not have anything smaller than the half ballroom.

Are reservations and group rates available for the Museum and Zoo?

Treat your guests to something special!

Admission to our world-class Wildlife Museum is free to all our Conference Center guests.

For groups who would like to walk the Zoo, admission to the Zoo is available with an advanced reservation and payment.

We extend a special discount to all Conference Center groups.

Looking for a great break-out opportunity or a refreshing way to end a meeting?

We have put together a very special rate for our daytime groups who want to see the Zoo from a Tram. Offer your guests a 45 minute Private, Non-Stop Narrated Tram Tour of our beautiful Zoo for the price of only $6.00 per person. That's less than half our regular admission and Tram fees! This tour is subject to availability on weekdays only during our normal operating hours.

Group rates are as follows:

Adult (age 13 - 64) FREE $8.00

Senior (age 65+)

FREE $7.50
Children (age 3 -12) FREE $4.50

Deposit & payment procedure

A deposit of ½ the room rental fee is due with your reservation unless you are a return client. Payment in full for all services is due at the close of your event.

Cancellation policy

Our cancellation fees are as follows:

• Prior to 90 days: half the deposit amount
• 30-89 days prior to event: full deposit amount
• 0-29 days prior to event: 100% cancellation fee - this fee will be inclusive of all anticipated room and accessory rental, as well as any anticipated catering fees.

Tax exempt status

All catering and admissions are subject to 7.5% sales tax. Organizations will be eligible for a tax exempt status if the following conditions apply:

• The organization must make payment from an official source (i.e. the group must have a check or credit card in the name of the organization)

• The organization has provided a copy of their official tax exemption certificate prior to their event.

What about decorating?

The Conference Center at Rolling Hills Zoo offers a very up-scale and neutral backdrop for any wedding theme or color scheme! Although the over-all look of our facility is based around wildlife, it is very tasteful and easily transforms into a beautiful and impressive reception site.

We do have several decorating pieces that are available for you to use at no additional charge (i.e. centerpiece mirrors, votive candles, tulle, ivy, large metal wildlife pieces and some silk floral arrangements). Just ask and we will be happy to show you what we have!

If we do not have an event in the Conference Center on the day prior to your reception, you or your decorator are welcome to come out during our regular business hours to start decorating. We do not do any decorating for you other than the placement of any of our pieces you have requested and the staging of our food tables and bars.

Is the Wildlife Museum available for our private event?

Treat your guests to something “wild” and make your wedding reception unique!

Reserve our world-class Wildlife Museum for a private, after hours viewing. With an advance reservation and one form of payment, the Museum is available between 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm. We extend the standard group rate of a 10% admission discount to all Conference Center groups. Unless you reserve the Museum for your event, it will be closed to the public at 5:00 pm. Sales tax of 7.5% will apply to all admissions.

Group rates are as follows:

Adult (age 13 - 64) $8.00 $11.25

Senior (age 65+)

Payment procedure

A deposit of half of the room rental fee is due with your reservation form. The remaining balances are due 10 business days prior to your event. Any incidentals that occur prior to or during your event will need to be paid in full at the close of your event.

Upon clean up and inspection of the facility following your event, your $250 security deposit will be refunded to you in full if no damages are found.
