Seasonal Activities at Rolling Hills Zoo

Tram Rides
Tram rides are available weekends only from April 1 until Memorial weekend, and again from Labor Day through Thanksgiving. Trams run daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The trams offer guests a narrated tour of the Zoo with six stops allowing guests the ability to ride to an area, get off and enjoy the exhibits, then catch another tram when it comes by. If you were to stay on the tram for the whole ride it would last approximately 50 min. Tram tickets are $3.00 per person and are good for the entire day.

Giraffe Feeding Station
Have you ever had the opportunity to hand feed a giraffe? Visit the Zoo on summer days and you could have that opportunity. Scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. weekends only from April 1st until Memorial Day weekend, daily from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of July, and weekends only again from August 1st through Labor Day, members can feed the giraffes for just $2, non-members $3. It is truly an unforgettable experience.
Note: Giraffe Feed Station is open weather permitting! May be closed due to muddy ground.

Keeper Talks
Do you have questions about what the animals eat? Where they sleep at night? Or how they are taken care of? Then join the Rolling Hills keeper staff each Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer to find out the answers. Four times each day keepers will meet guests at various exhibits to discuss the animals in their care. Make sure to get a schedule at the ticket booth when entering the Zoo.
