EDUCATOR
Part-Time

Rolling Hills Zoo is looking for a Part-Time Educator who is passionate about wildlife, conservation and inspiring others to care for our natural world.

If you love connecting with people of all ages, bringing learning to life, and working with a few scaly, furry or feathered friends, this could be the perfect job for you!

 As part of our Education Team, you’ll help create fun, engaging learning experiences for zoo guests, school groups and community organizations. You’ll assist with education programs both on- and off-site, work with groups of children and adults, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to create positive, inclusive experiences. 

You’ll also have the opportunity to work hands-on with Animal Ambassadors, introducing guests to amazing animals while sharing important messages about wildlife and conservation.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • High school diploma or GED, or currently pursuing a high school diploma or GED
  • Enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging with an audience
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Canva, and any other digital platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • A flexible schedule, including the ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed
  • A valid driver's license
