Discover Your Wild Side During Safari Explorer Summer Camps At Rolling Hills Zoo

Ages 4-7 & 8-12

Kids will have a WILD time during our Summer Camps! These 4-day camps include animal showings with some of our favorite animal friends, weekly themed stories, games and crafts, along with tours of the Zoo and Wildlife Museum, and other fun surprises! Plus, snacks are provided daily!

AGES: Divided into two age groups - ages 4-7 & 8-12
Note: Children must be 4 years of age on the date of the camp. Three-year-olds may not enroll.

WHEN: Summer Camps are Tuesday - Friday, from June 3 - July 18, 2025. You may enroll your child(ren) for single day(s), or for all four days (Tuesday - Friday).

Junior Zoo Keeper Camp

Ages 13-15

WHEN: May 27 - 30, 2025

TIME: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Enthusiastic teens will embark on an exciting adventure during this year’s Junior Zoo Keeper Camp as they explore the captivating world of zoo keeping at Rolling Hills Zoo. This immersive experience will provide a unique opportunity for youth to explore the world of zoology by offering a hands-introduction to the daily responsibilities and challenges faced by professional zoo keepers.

During the camp, participants will be introduced to many of the critical aspects of zoo keeping, including building animal enrichment, improving animal enclosures and preparing diets.  They will also learn about the diverse career paths available within the zoo industry , and the many ways they can contribute to the preservation and care of endangered species.

In addition to the practical skills and knowledge gained, the camp emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration while acquiring a profound understanding of the dedication, patience, and passion required to care for special and endangered species.

Includes:  T-Shirt, lunch, and a variety of interactive lessons provided by our Zoo Keepers & other Zoo staff.
